A project creating handcrafted objects with symbolic intention, developed by La Murga Visual: unique handmade pieces that take a material from the earthly world and transform it, through craft and intention, into an object capable of acting in the spiritual world. Objects that protect, attract or connect those who carry them. The project works with pre-Columbian materiality and symbolism as a vehicle for cultural storytelling, connecting tradition, the body and migrant identity. Pre-Columbian Futurism as an organic and propositional visual language — an interrupted lineage that can be continued from the present and projected into the future. A project focused on learning the craft, exploring its language and documenting the process. Analogue practices as a conscious choice in response to digital saturation.
