Ekoka promotes Afrocentric cultural mediation processes within the Catalan cultural ecosystem, developing educational tools and spaces for reflection linked to contemporary African and Afro-descendant narratives. The project works through orality, archives, and collective participation to broaden cultural representations of Africa and the African diaspora. Through educational activities, curatorial projects, and participatory methodologies, the initiative seeks to create more inclusive and critical contexts within museums, libraries, cultural centers, and community spaces. Ekoka promotes forms of cultural transmission centered on memory, listening, and the shared construction of knowledge.
